What I do as soon as I see that:
- I don’t like my state (apathy, anxiety, worse memory, it’s hard to focus, I don’t want anything, I don’t feel anything, etc.);
- I want to improve my life / results in the shortest time possible;
- I’m on the way to a crisis or already there.
This strategy works for me in absolutely any case:
- with sudden stress (plans fall apart; some trigger brings up difficult feelings; I need to go through a lot of major rethinking in a short time without losing it; etc.);
- and with stress that has built up over the past days, months, or years (“how much longer do I have to carry this?”, “I don’t want anything,” “I’m exhausted AF,” “I don’t even have the energy to do nothing,” etc.).
*If, because of how difficult the circumstances are, there is no way to recover 100%, then I repeat steps of the algorithm at a pace that feels comfortable for me.
